Culture is a major influence in design. We do need to keep in mind that culture is also a significant element in a person's or a community’s identity. Sincerity or curiosity aside, it’s easy to unknowingly cross the line from harmless inspiration into cultural appropriation and cause misrepresentation. How can creatives be more mindful and respectful while being inspired?
